In Switzerland, there is still a willingness - albeit on the decline - to assume personal responsibility. This is also reflected in the behavior of planners, contractors and building owners.

As in Germany, it goes without saying that the rules of building science and in particular the codified area, i.e. the planning, design and dimensioning rules, must always be observed. For the Swiss specialist, standards are rules and instructions designed to help him reach his goal as quickly and safely as possible. Standards are therefore guidelines and not guard rails or barriers. Deviations from them are permitted - where justified - in the same way as crossing a guideline.
