Glulam made from hardwood is a high-performance wood-based material made from dried and bonded board lamellas made from hardwoods such as ash, beech or oak. In contrast to glulam made from softwood, this is not a standard product, but a high-performance product for particularly demanding load-bearing structures. Thanks to the higher strength properties of hardwood, smaller cross-sections can be realized with the same load-bearing capacity, ideal for filigree constructions with high loads. As with glulam made from softwood, homogenization by gluing the lamellas ensures dimensional stability and accuracy of the components.
