SPK - Seerheinpanorama Constance

The central exhibition space measures around 36 m in diameter and extends over a height of 30 m - an impressive interplay of architecture, art and engineering.

Only the staircase and elevator shaft are of solid construction, otherwise everything above the 2nd floor is of timber construction. Neue Holzbau AG was allowed to implement the primary supporting structure of the ceiling on the 3rd floor - an under-tensioned construction that spans the large exhibition space and reliably transfers the loads from the upper floors.

Despite the large spans, high fire protection requirements (R90) and challenging assembly at a height of 30 m, the calculated deformation was precisely adhered to - a strong sign of precise planning and execution.
