Research project REF-1011-04200: Glulam made of beech

At the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research (Empa), the first 4-point bending tests were carried out on Beech glulam beams of strength class GL48c with a span of 7.2 m and cross-sectional dimensions of 400 mm x 160 mm.

The flexural strength of the previously tested seven supports is between 57 and 67 and on average 63 N / mm2.
